Over 120 folks celebrated the accomplishments of the club, while recognizing three Nebraskans for their service and dedication to agriculture at the Nebraska Agribusiness Club’s 46th annual awards banquet November1st at Hillcrest Country Club in Lincoln.

A dynamic jazz duo, Jim Williamson and Wes Stebbins played great, upbeat music — there were a few couples were ready to start cutting a rug!

Club members, LEAD fellows, partners in agriculture, as well as friends and family enjoyed a terrific evening! One member said, “It was a distinct honor and pleasure to be present.”
The 2012 honorees for Public Service to Agriculture were Lisa Lunz of Wakefield and Alan Tiemann of Seward. Dawn Caldwell of Edgar was the first ever recipient of the New Horizon Award.

Lori Luebbe, Nebraska Soybean Association, shared many thoughtful words as she explained Lisa Lunz’s passion for youth and agriculture.

Don Hutchens, Nebraska Corn Board, said, “If 90% of leadership is showing up, we can always count on Alan Tiemann for 150%”

Drew Guiney, Nebraska Soybean Board knows Dawn Caldwell will continue to make a positive difference for agriculture in Nebraska as her years of involvement and experience grows!
