Nebraska Agribusiness Club gives back

The Nebraska Agribusiness Club opened their hearts and wallets recently to help out fellow citizens in the Lincoln area during this Christmas season. During the club’s recent meeting on Monday, December 5, members collected $360 and over 50 pounds of food to donate to people in the community. The money was used to help a family that was referred to the club by CEDARS and the 50 pounds of food was given to the Lincoln Food Bank.

The Nebraska Agribusiness Club purchased gifts for a family provided to them by CEDARS. Gifts included diapers, toys and kitchen items.

Toys, clothes, diapers and kitchen items were purchased with the money donation for a 19-year-old single mother and her two children, a 2-year-old boy and an 18-month-old girl.

“The Nebraska Agribusiness Club is thrilled to have the opportunity to give back to our community during this holiday season,” said Kyle Wize, Nebraska Agribusiness Club president. “We hope that each person has a wonderful holiday season and we are happy we could assist at least one family in doing so,” she said.

Members of the Nebraska Agribusiness Club donated money and food items to members in the community during their recent meeting. Members then went shopping to purchase gifts for a family in need.
