50th Annual Banquet – November 3rd

The Nebraska Agribusiness Club invites you to the 50th Annual Banquet! We will be honoring two individuals for the Public Service to Agriculture Award and one for the New Horizon Award.

The banquet will be Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the Hillcrest Country Club, 9401 O Street, Lincoln, NE 68527. Reception starts at 5:30 p.m.

We ask that you please reserve your seat(s) by October 21st for $30 per seat. After October 21st through the day of the event, seats increase to $35.

July 28th Lincoln Saltdogs Game Club Social

Join the Nebraska Agribusiness Club for a Lincoln Saltdogs baseball game on Thursday, July 28th at 6:35 p.m. vs. the St. Paul Saints.rounddog_words

The club has two suites donated by Alpha Media and FireSpring. Your ticket will include
your seat in one of the two suites with snacks available. It is also ‘Thirsty Thursday’ with beers for $1.00.

This social is free to members and $20 for non-members, guests and children. This is a family friendly event and a great place for kids.

Please RSVP in the form below by Monday, July 25th by 12:00 p.m. to reserve your tickets for you and your family/guest. Seats are limited in the suites. We will have a club officers outside the main entrance by the large baseballs between 6:00 – 6:30 p.m. to pick up your ticket(s) unless other arrangements are made.

2016 Award Nominations Available

The Nebraska Agribusiness Club would like to announce that nomination forms for the Public Service to Agriculture and New Horizon awards are now available.

Public Service to Agriculture Award has been presented annually since 1967. The award recognized individuals who have made significant contributions to Nebraska agriculture and Nebraska agribusiness.

New Horizon Award is an award that recognizes individuals 40 years of age and younger who are upcoming leaders in the agricultural industry.

Nominations for both awards are due by July 15, 2016. Nominations are encouraged from non-club members, as well as club members. The nomination forms and more information can be found at the links below or by emailing nebraskaagribusinessclub@gmail.com.

Club Tour – June 6, 2016

Join the Nebraska Agribusiness Club on Monday, June 6, 2016 as we take in different agricultural opportunities in Lincoln. We will be touring Neogen, LI-COR, the new commodity trading room at UNL and the Empyrean Brewing Company.

Members participation is included with your membership; non members must pay $20 for the tour.

February 1st ‘Lunch-n-Learn’ features Dave Anthony, senior PhD student from Nimbus Lab

Dave Anthony, a senior PhD student at Nimbus Lab will be our speaker. He will be giving an overview of some of the work at Nimbus Lab and his particular work on aerial (from an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)) canopy sensing and measurement.
